Sarah was an old pro with the young horses, They really
drew for her confident nature. Ali really seemed to bond
with her so she took it upon herself to work on a few special maneuvers..
Welcome to the Green Meadow Farm community blog! This blog is for anyone at Green Meadow Farm or friends of Green Meadow Farm to contribute and socialize. We can discuss dressage, the barn, wine, or whatever we want. Have fun! -- Tracie
Ali has a very special initiation process ... it includes dirt, and all who don't partake, don't "pass".
ReplyDeleteWelcome to the "other side", Sarah!
I got the rear buck but no dirt-Is that a 1/2 pass...
ReplyDeleteI keep getting my dressage movements mixed up... I remember 1/2 pass is the super forward canter sharply sideways while you pray for a flying change before the letter as coach yells "Duck!"
ReplyDeleteAhhhh.... "Duck" is different than "dirt". Duck means imminent danger for the onlookers. Dirt means a "hog fuel" dental floss for the rider.
ReplyDeleteOh that's right. I think one of the comments was more collection is required to prevent injury to innocent bystanders.
ReplyDeleteHmmmm, I think both of you have your movements confused. One correctly performs 1/2 pass by splitting the pass between the equine and the equestrienne: horse passes left, rider passes right, or vice versa.
ReplyDeletemine was vice versa :-)
ReplyDeleteROTFL!!!
